Maintenance Shredder soft surfboards are made from advanced materials based on a closed cell foam and vinyl, and are different from glass boards.  The useful tips below will help your board last for years.

1.  To avoid slipping, apply surfing wax on needed areas, or install an optional soft deck. Use a coin to tighten the screws as needed, if screws do not tighten properly, cut one or two screw threads with a cutter for a better fit. 2.  If there is a tear or a hole, glue a patch as soon as possible to prevent sand and water from getting inside the board.  Use the sunset graphic patch, or in an emergency use duct tape. When the board is exposed to the heat of the sun or left inside a hot car, the air inside the vinyl cover can expand.  Also, if the board is used with the drain screw loose or has a small unpatched hole in the vinyl, water may leak in.  In both cases stand the board nose up in the shade, then drain any air or water by loosening the drain screw. 3.  Never compress or crush the board, although it will not "ding", the board can be damaged by crushing.  Always transport it in a manner which will not damage your board.  We recommend using a padded surf bag to protect your board, and the racks with strap guards to avoid denting the board rails.
